Our Mission is to help and empower parents / caregivers that have students with unique needs in a compassionate way through information , resources and support . All students with unique needs have a right to a Free Appropriate Public Education (F.A.P.E.) in the Least Restrictive Environment (L.R.E.).

A word about funding. Students that are eligible and receiving special ed services bring in more revenue than any other student in the school district, that includes state BEA (Basic Ed Allocation), state special ed (based on approx. 93%/.9307 multiplier of BEA), and federal/per student dollars, which help to boost local levy dollars and districts can also apply for safety net dollars. Safety net dollars based on individual IEP's and districts have to prove they have properly spent all other revenues, to gain these reimbursement dollars. So-called general ed students (not receiving sp ed services) generate state BEA and local levy dollars

You will also find information on IEP's (Individualized Educational Plan) & 504 plans.
